Re: Sharing Stories
Tue, December 18, 2007 - 7:36 PMThis is a wonderful idea, and I had something all ready to send. Then I read their Assignment of Rights, which includes the following:
"You also release all rights in and to any claim of copyright, trademark, trade dress, or other intellectual property or other rights, royalties, commission or any payment whatsoever in connection with the Use of your name, likeness, biographical material and/or story. "
Sigh.
Oh, well -- It was an interesting exercise cutting down a story I'd already posted in my blog to one-third the size, to meet the 500-character maximum.
Thank you for posting the Second Harvest URL as well, so that people can make a donation directly. -

Re: Sharing Stories
Tue, December 18, 2007 - 11:26 PMThat's okay. I posted info here that I'd gotten from TriggerStreet (which I've never used, myself), and it turns out they've got the same kind of gig going.
