I have convinced the whole world
And myself
That when I cry
It isn´t for you.
I have told god and the full moon
That I have left,
Long departed.
Finished it is.
A new river now flows
So rapid, so full,
Why would I hold on the the shore?
And if you cared to ask,
I´d bring water from ten different wells
to convince you too-
Waiting I´m not.
Longin it isn´t. Not yearning.
It isn´t for you.
Because
How could it be
That moons come and go,
Rise and demise,
Oceans change tides,
Trees bloom, then leaf
And the weeping willow
Keeps crying over a spring in the past?
How could it be?
Not for you,
Not for you, love.
When I cry it isn´t for you.
And myself
That when I cry
It isn´t for you.
I have told god and the full moon
That I have left,
Long departed.
Finished it is.
A new river now flows
So rapid, so full,
Why would I hold on the the shore?
And if you cared to ask,
I´d bring water from ten different wells
to convince you too-
Waiting I´m not.
Longin it isn´t. Not yearning.
It isn´t for you.
Because
How could it be
That moons come and go,
Rise and demise,
Oceans change tides,
Trees bloom, then leaf
And the weeping willow
Keeps crying over a spring in the past?
How could it be?
Not for you,
Not for you, love.
When I cry it isn´t for you.
