Back to reality,
Where I always was
But chose to ignore,
Instead dreaming
Of who you might be,
Wanting you
To be the missing half
Of me.
This cyber relationship,
Being able to sidestep
Real world conventions,
Mind to mind transmission
Without the usual
Checks and cautions of
Body to body communications,
The gaps in our knowledge
Filled by dream and fantasy.
Time passes,
Cyber time and clock time,
Our imaginations reach
A peak of ecstacy
And slowly fall, fall
Back into the everyday
Reality and
Without the nourishment
Of bodily truth
Recognises dream as dream,
Becomes tired, bored,
Melancholic
For what has passed
And slowly, slowly turns
Back to reality.
Where I always was
But chose to ignore,
Instead dreaming
Of who you might be,
Wanting you
To be the missing half
Of me.
This cyber relationship,
Being able to sidestep
Real world conventions,
Mind to mind transmission
Without the usual
Checks and cautions of
Body to body communications,
The gaps in our knowledge
Filled by dream and fantasy.

Our imaginations reach

And slowly fall, fall
Back into the everyday

Without the nourishment
Of bodily truth
Recognises dream as dream,
Becomes tired, bored,
Melancholic
For what has passed
And slowly, slowly turns
Back to reality.

Re: Cyber-Real-World
12/05reality is interesting....
I have always loved this quote by Walt Whitman,
"Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
No man ever truly knows what is in the heart and mind of another...
and so easy to draw false assumptions....

12/05thanks for the comments
I like that whitman quote too. Lots of other great lines in his "song of myself"
Reality is certainly interesting to say the least, lol
