What do you call someone who is in charge of a will? I was doing an editing check on a short story I wrote and realize I referred to a character as being "an executor of the will" I honestly don't even know if that is right, but I thought I would check. Also, what do you call someone's belongings? An estate? Also, what does it take to transfer property? A simple signature?
It's only a small part of the story, but I would rather it be correct than not.

You can easily search the other terms at wikipedia. Though such online encyclopedias are never 100% accurate, general terms such as this are easily researched. Hope this helps Ashley.
